Named after the highly illegal substance, Absinthe is a musical performance made by the traveling circus Spiegelworld. Currently in a residence in Las Vegas’ Ceasar’s Palace, the musical has been called an “off-beat European circus on acid” by the New York Post and contains many acrobatic stunts as well as “feats of strength, balance, danger and unfathomable flexibility.” Speigelworld opened Absinth in Las Vegas on April 1, 2011 and is co produced by the people who helped create Jersey Boys, Peepshow, and A Phantom of The Opera. Only beginning to perform in 2006 Spiegelworld has made notoriety in the cirque scene and is growing in popularity. When not in New York they travel to Miami and Los Angeles as well. If your in Sin City be sure to stop by Ceasar’s for an interesting show.
